The financial magazine “Forbes Asia” selected “Asia’s Power Businesswomen” (Asia’s Power Businesswomen), and three of them are on the list.
They are Huang Bijuan, CEO of OCBC Bank Group, Xu Zhongwei, President of Consumer, Private and SME Banking Department of Standard Chartered Bank, and Hu Jinzhu, founder of EtonHouse.
“Forbes Asia” yesterday announced the 2021 “Most Influential Asian Business Women” list. There are 20 business women from China, Japan, India, Malaysia and other places on the list. They are all new faces on the list. In charge of large-scale enterprises or start-up companies with a value of more than 100 million U.S. dollars.
Huang Bijuan (60 years old) is the first female helm of OCBC Bank. She has served as president of the group since April this year, taking over the stick of former group president Qian Naiji. She has served in HSBC for 17 years and held various important positions including the president of Greater China. She joined OCBC Bank in February last year as Group Vice President and Head of Global Wholesale Banking.
Xu Zhongwei (58)’s role at Standard Chartered Bank is to integrate the bank’s retail banking, private banking and wealth management businesses into a single global business. One of her first tasks is to expand the bank’s high-net-worth client base and further develop digital banking solutions for the retail market and small businesses. She plans to double the group’s wealthy customers by 2025.
