The Ministry of education defines the stage of compulsory education

Today, the general office of the Ministry of Education issued the notice on further clarifying the scope of discipline and non discipline of after-school training in the stage of compulsory education (Education Supervision Department letter [2021] No. 3)

The document points out that in order to implement the opinions on further reducing the homework burden and off-campus training burden of students in the stage of compulsory education issued by the general office of the CPC Central Committee and the general office of the State Council, and guide all localities to do a good job in the management of off-campus training (including online training and off-line training), the notice on clarifying the scope of discipline and non Discipline Training in the stage of compulsory education is as follows:

1、 According to the provisions of the national compulsory education curriculum, when conducting out of school training, ethics and the rule of law, Chinese, history, geography, mathematics, foreign languages (English, Japanese, Russian), physics, chemistry and biology are managed according to disciplines. Extracurricular training related to the learning contents specified in the national curriculum standards of the above disciplines shall be listed as admission subjects for management.

2、 During the off campus training, the disciplines of sports (or sports and health), art (or music and Art) and comprehensive practical activities (including information technology education, labor and Technology Education) are managed according to non disciplines.

All localities shall conduct audit and check in strict accordance with the national curriculum plan and curriculum standards, and strengthen daily supervision, supervision and inspection.
