Wei Yanjie, deputy of Shandong Provincial People’s Congress and principal of Pengze Middle School in Juye County, pays close attention to the index of land used for construction planning in primary and secondary schools. With the acceleration of urbanization, demand for quality education resources is growing fast, and urban middle and high schools may lack degrees, she said. According to statistics, in the next three to five years, Juye County will have a net increase of 600 first-grade junior high school degrees and 1500 first-grade senior high school degrees each year. According to the school construction standard, 270 mu of land is needed every year. To this end, Wei Yanjie suggests that the provincial departments concerned study the land of primary and secondary schools and ratify the land indicators separately.
